✍️ Description:
When Ken Sorensen co-founded The Shakespeare Education Project, his mission was to bring the timeless works of Shakespeare into schools and communities in a way that felt alive and relevant. To help share that vision, I produced a long-form interview video that captures both the heart of the project and the story behind its origins.
The video features Ken speaking from the comfort of his living room, where he reflects on the founding and goals of the initiative. His words are interwoven with still photography and footage from Stratford-upon-Avon, contemporary performances of Shakespeare’s plays, and guest speakers engaging with students through the project. The editing choice to include only Ken’s answers keeps the focus squarely on his voice, while the layered visuals give viewers a sense of both place and impact.
🔹 Project Highlights:
- Journalistic Interview Approach – Crafted to draw out authentic storytelling and insight.
- Cinematic Editing – Blending Ken’s voice with imagery of Stratford, live performances, and classroom experiences.
- Narrative Focus – Editing that places emphasis on mission and meaning, rather than mechanics of the interview.
- Educational Impact – Designed to introduce new audiences to the project’s value and spark interest in its work.
- Versatile Use – Produced for YouTube but adaptable for presentations, classrooms, or promotional outreach.
The result? A video that doesn’t just document—it inspires, offering an intimate yet expansive view of how one project is bringing Shakespeare’s works to life for a new generation.
